    Solution:Original question:
      x ( x + 1) = 4( x 1) + 2
    Remove the bracket on the left of the equation:
     Left side of the equation = x x + x × 1
    The equation is transformed into :
      x x + 1 x = 4( x 1) + 2
    Remove the bracket on the right of the equation:
     Right side of the equation = 4 x 4 × 1 + 2
                                               = 4 x 4 + 2
                                               = 4 x 2
    The equation is transformed into :
      x x + 1 x = 4 x 2

    After the equation is converted into a general formula, it is converted into:
    ( x - 1 )( x - 2 )=0
    From
        x - 1 = 0
        x - 2 = 0

    it is concluded that::
        x1=1
        x2=2
