[ 1/1 Equation]
    Work: Find the solution of equation (x-8)(400-200) = 640 .
    Question type: Equation
    Solution:Original question:
     ( x 8)(400200) = 640
    Remove the bracket on the left of the equation:
     Left side of the equation = x (400200)8(400200)
                                             = x × 400 x × 2008(400200)
                                             = 200 x 8(400200)
                                             = 200 x 8 × 400 + 8 × 200
                                             = 200 x 3200 + 1600
                                             = 200 x 1600
    The equation is transformed into :
     200 x 1600 = 640

    Transposition :
     200 x = 640 + 1600

    Combine the items on the right of the equation:
     200 x = 2240

    The coefficient of the unknown number is reduced to 1 :
      x = 2240 ÷ 200
        = 2240 ×
1
200
        = 56 ×
1
5

    We obtained :
      x =
56
5
    This is the solution of the equation.

    Convert the result to decimal form :
      x = 11.2
